Welcome to my website! I have always had an interest in photography, however, it has just been over the last several years that I have been striving to capture the "artistic stance" of my subjects. Landscapes, flowers, and the numerous other wonders of nature are the things that I enjoy focusing on the most. Now that I have retired from the elementary classroom (31 years), I am excited about pursuing my photography adventures. My husband, best friend, and mentor, Jeffrey Brown, has had an immense influence in my life and my photography. His encouragement, suggestions, and critiques (good and bad) have been very beneficial when I am working with my pictures. His words of wisdom, "Be all you can be" push me to see outside...

Wow!!!! Darkly moody and hauntingly intriguing moonlit scene. The imagination turns to the fantastical and perhaps the macabre in such half lit wilderness places as this. V

This is really nicely done. I like the way it looks like an eye watching us. Loos like a horror movie poster.

Exquisite, outer worldly moonscape, Karen! One of those right place at the right time images. Love the texture and gossamer look of the cloud cover. Great job. F/V

So mysterious. It looks like the moon is reflected in water and then you realize it's a trick of the light in the clouds. Wonderful capture! f/v

Karen great moon shot I have one like this is my scenic gallery with the clouds passing through it. This came out really great with the trees in a silhouette position and the moon having the clouds pass through it and various colors on the top and the bottom. Great shot. VOTED
