About Karen Harrison Brown
Welcome to my website! I have always had an interest in photography, however, it has just been over the last several years that I have been striving to capture the "artistic stance" of my subjects. Landscapes, flowers, and the numerous other wonders of nature are the things that I enjoy focusing on the most.
As I am nearing my retirement from the elementary classroom (30 years), I am excited about pursuing my photography adventures.
My partner, best friend, and mentor, Jeffrey Brown, has had an immense influence in my life and my photography. His encouragement, suggestions, and critiques (good and bad) have been very beneficial when I am working with my pictures. His words of wisdom, "Be all you can be" push me to see outside the box and see things from a different perspective, opening up unlimited possibilities.
Jeff and I live on a small ranch training horses and raising Rottweilers. I plan on venturing into more shots of our horses and dogs to broaden my photography skills. I find these shots to be more of a challenge since they are moving subjects -- but nonetheless, they are beautiful creatures and can provide the camera with many creative and interesting captures.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my site. Please check back from time to time as new work will be posted. My goal is to put forth every effort to "be all I can be."
Thank you again for visiting and please come again.
